My Life at Age Thirteen

I made a radio transmitter in a cigar box based on a design from an electronics book by Harry Zarchy. I started broadcasting to transistor radios held by the neighborhood kids. Some kids told me that they saw a vehicle with a directional antenna a block away. Apparently the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) was looking for me and my transmitter.
